Bora Bora is one of the most beautiful destinations in the world with its turquoise lagoons, signature overwater bungalows, white sand beaches, and breathtaking scenery - it is truly paradise on earth. There’s no surprise why it’s one of our most booked destinations for clients! If you're looking for an unforgettable vacation, put Bora Bora on your bucket list!

We'll take a closer look at the top three luxury resorts in Bora Bora, comparison between the 3, the best time to travel there, and our favorite restaurants!

Jetset & Travel has relationships with each of these hotels so if you book with us, you’ll receive Extra VIP perks on your already unforgettable trip which are listed below each hotel.

Four Seasons Bora Bora

This resort is situated on the northeastern side of the island and features 100 overwater bungalows and seven beachfront villas, each with a private pool and stunning views of the lagoon. The resort's accommodations are elegantly designed and immaculate grounds. The overwater bungalows also feature glass floors that offer stunning views of the marine life below! Dining options at the Four Seasons Bora Bora are top-notch, with three restaurants serving Polynesian and international cuisine. It’s best for a romantic getaway for a honeymoon, baby moon or anniversary as well as a family vacation.

Jetset & Travel’s Opinion: Four Seasons Bora Bora is our number one pick and we recommend getting an overwater bungalow with a plunge pool!

Below are some of the extra perks you’ll receive when booking here with Jetset & Travel:

  • Daily American breakfast for two people per room, served through In-Room Dining or in the hotel restaurant (including buffets)

  • $100 USD Resort credit for suites, $200 for specialty suites

  • Upgrade of one category, based on availability at time of check-in (excluding signature suites, villas, and private residences)

Conrad Bora Bora

Located on a private island in the heart of Bora Bora's lagoon, this resort offers 115 spacious villas, including overwater bungalows, beachfront villas, and garden suites. Each villa is elegantly decorated and features modern amenities. This resort provides a range of dining options including two restaurants and a beach bar serving both Polynesian and international cuisine. Their rooms are newly renovated making them the most up to date accommodations in Bora Bora. They also have a unique 3-bedroom overwater bungalow where the Kardashians vacationed on their Bora Bora trip!

Jetset & Travel’s Opinion: The most modern and up-to-date rooms. We loved their swim-up bar, calm turquoise waters, and their high-up villas with stunning views of their gardens and the ocean.

Their overwater bungalows feature private decks with direct access to the lagoon. With the most options for dining, the resort boasts six incredible restaurants and bars including their iconic swim-up bar. Their sunset lounge offers guests breathtaking views of the sunset over Mount Otemanu. We were most impressed with their signature butler service!

Comparison between the 3 resorts:

All three luxury resorts showcase the natural beauty of Bora Bora, making it difficult to choose just one! However, there are a few differences that may sway your decision.

Accommodations: All three resorts offer overwater bungalows and villas with private pools and direct access to the lagoon. However, Conrad Bora Bora also offers beachfront villas with their own private plunge pools and garden villas as a less expensive option than the other 2, while the other resorts also have beach villas, they are higher in category and Conrad entry level starts as garden villas.

Dining: All three resorts offer several dining options but the cuisine and atmosphere differ. Four Seasons Bora Bora offers a fine dining experience at the Arii Moana restaurant, while Conrad Bora Bora offers gourmet cuisine at their restaurant. St. Regis Bora Bora has the most offerings for dining.

Service: All three resorts are known for their exceptional service but I would recommend Four Seasons and St. Regis Bora Bora. St. Regis has their signature butler service giving you personalized attention.

Activities: All three resorts offer a range of water sports and activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, and paddleboarding. However, Four Seasons Bora Bora gives you the access to Jet-ski right from the resort. My favorite activity is taking the Jet-Ski’s out for a tour around the island and ending at the yacht club for lunch!

Best time to visit Bora Bora:

Bora Bora

Although we send clients to Bora Bora year round and it really is a year round destination, the ideal time to visit is during the dry season which runs from May to October. During this time, you can expect warm temperatures and little rainfall, making it the perfect time for outdoor activities.

How to get to Bora Bora:

Getting to Bora Bora is relatively easy as long as you get to the West cost to a LAX, SFO or SAN hub to fly from. Wherever it is that you are coming from you will need to fly into Fa’a’a International Airport (PPT) on the island of Tahiti. From there you can take a short flight to Bora Bora (BOB), which takes about 50 minutes for Air Tahiti. Once you land into Bora Bora there’s only about 6 hotels and each have their own little stands that you check in with and they will get you onto the correct boat to your resort!

Best Restaurants in Bora Bora:

The best restaurants will be at the resorts but there are a few local options you can take a boat or Jet-ski to access.

  • Lagoon Restaurant by Jean-Georges (St.Regis Bora Bora Resort)

  • Bora Bora Yacht Club (Local, best for lunch)

  • Saint James (Local, best for lunch)

  • Bloody Mary’s Bora Bora (local, best for lunch and a party scene)

  • La Villa Mahana (Local French, Romantic Style)

  • Vaimiti (Four Seasons Bora Bora Resort)
