Family travel has always been one of my favorite things to plan, and this year, it holds a special place in my heart as Brandon and I prepare to welcome Baby Zackon!! It’s given me a whole new perspective on the hotels and destinations we recommend to families.

What's the Best Luxury Hotel for a Family With a Baby or Toddler?
For new parents, look for a place that handles the logistics: a crib on arrival and excellent childcare. These properties make settling in effortless.
Laucala Island, Fiji
Best for: Families planning an exceptionally private South Pacific escape with highly personalized care.
Laucala Island has one of the South Pacific’s strongest infant and toddler nanny programs. They also have a kids club for children of all ages featuring tailored supervised activities. The resort features 25 freestanding villas with 1-3 bedrooms.
Cribs are available.
Laucala Island will reopen in February 2027 under new ownership. I recommend booking now to ensure your dates are secured.
Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts, Hawaii
Best for: Families seeking a contemporary Hawaiian retreat that feels polished, easy, and beautifully considered for young children.
Fresh from a $200 million renovation, Mauna Lani offers a baby concierge, keiki pool, and essential gear arranged before arrival. I highly recommend going to CanoeHouse, my favorite restaurant in Kona!

Montage Laguna Beach, California
Best for: Families who want flexible programming in a refined coastal setting.
The stunning Montage Laguna Beach strikes the balance of family-friendly activities and great daycare programming. Four Seasons Ocean Club, Bahamas
Best for: Families looking for seamless island days, thoughtful support for every age, and some of the Bahamas' most beautiful turquoise water and white sand beaches.

A place that’s filled with creativity, adventure, and a bit of independence. These are my top 5 recommendations:
Four Seasons Orlando
Best for: Families who want the most luxurious way to experience Walt Disney World, with Four Seasons service, easy park access, and a resort that feels like a destination of its own.
Your kids will love the Kids For All Seasons programming, the on-site water park with slides and Lazy River, and character breakfasts to make the resort days just as memorable as the parks.
Transportation to the parks and early park entry is complimentary; cribs and connecting rooms are available.
One&Only Mandarina, Mexico
Best for: Families seeking an adventure-filled Mexico rainforest escape with immersive programming for children and a strong wellness focus for parents.
The 42,000-square-foot KidsOnly Club feels like an outdoor playground woven into the jungle, complete with treehouses, a butterfly sanctuary, an amphitheater, and family ziplining. Kids stay busy from sunrise to sunset while parents enjoy a rainforest-inspired spa treatment catered to their specific needs (Read my full review of the One&Only Mandarina here!).

Montage Palmetto Bluff, South Carolina
Best for: Families drawn to nature, outdoor adventure, and a distinctly Lowcountry experience, with plenty for children and parents to enjoy.
Paintbox brings the Lowcountry into its programming for ages 5 to 12 with crafts, nature hikes, and scavenger hunts, while horseback riding and nightly S'mores by the fire pit keep everyone entertained after hours. I love that they also offer Children's Night Out on Friday and Saturday evenings, so parents can actually have a proper evening to themselves.

Four Seasons Bora Bora
Best for: Families who want island adventure paired with marine discovery and iconic overwater luxury.

Cribs are available. Overwater bungalows don't offer connecting rooms, but families can book adjacent bungalows or multi-bedroom beachfront villa estates.
Marbella Club, Spain
Best for: Families who want a polished Mediterranean escape in Marbella, Spain, with plenty for active and creative children.
The 5,000-square-meter Kids Club welcomes children ages 4 to 14 with pottery, art, music, dance, and cooking classes, plus a vegetable garden where little ones learn to grow their own snacks. Water sports and sandcastle building round out the beachfront side of things.

What's the Best Luxury Family Hotel for Teens?
The best accommodation for this age group is a place where tweens and teens can be engaged and independent, while also having options for activities as a whole family.
Cheval Blanc Courchevel, France
Best for: Families who want a polished ski adventure in Courchevel, set in the heart of the French Alps.
Teens get their own futuristic hideaway at Le Paddock, complete with foosball, video games, and a private cinema, while younger siblings have Le Carrousel just next door. Family activities include snowmobile excursions and sled dog racing. Personalized ski butler service means everyone's equipment is ready and waiting before hitting the slopes.

Nekajui Peninsula Papagayo, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Costa Rica

Soneva Fushi, Maldives
Best for: Families who want barefoot luxury, eco-conscious adventure, and exceptional privacy in the Maldives.
The Den is one of the Maldives' largest spaces for kids and teens, with a pirate ship, trampolines, a mocktail bar, cooking classes, plus Soneva Academy courses on stargazing, marine life, and plastic pollution for kids 12 and up.

Rosewood Baha Mar, Bahamas
Best for: Families who want a polished beach escape in Nassau, The Bahamas, with Rosewood service and easy access to Baha Mar's family experiences.
Rosewood Explorers welcomes kids ages 4 through 12 with creative programming, and the adjacent Baha Bay water park gives older kids and teens plenty to do on their own. The Sanctuary is a standout, giving an interactive marine experience with stingrays, sea turtles, sharks, and other wildlife.
